American Flowers Week: Make a Flower Arrangement and Join the Fun
Next week is American Flowers Week and we are inviting you to help celebrate! This annual event is designed to raise awareness about the value of locally grown cut flowers. To participate, you don’t need to be a flower farmer, flower shop owner or floral design studio. If you love cutting and arranging flowers, you’re in!
A lovely spring arrangement by Slow Flowers member Alicia Schwede of Flirtyfleurs.com. The bulbs will be available from us as a collection this fall.

Supporting the locally-grown cut flower movement is perfectly aligned with our company’s mission. We want to help more people grow more flowers – whether it’s in a backyard or on a farm.
By connecting with flower farmers and floral designers we are getting new insights into our products and how to market them. Plus, we are endlessly inspired by fellow flower lovers who are working every day to fill the world with beautiful blooms.

Join the Celebration
Here’s how you can participate in next week’s event. Make a flower arrangement using your homegrown flowers sometime next week, June 28-July 4, 2017. Next, take a photo and share it in your favorite social media channels. Use the hashtags #AmericanFlowersWeek and #LongfieldGardens. If your arrangement includes flowers from Longfield Gardens, please be sure to call them out.
At the end of the week, we will choose one favorite arrangement. The winner will receive a $100 gift certificate that can be used for anything in our online store.

Go ahead and submit as many entries as you want! You can share your photos as comments in response to our Facebook post about the contest, or if you are on Instagram or Twitter, you can post them using both hashtags #Americanflowersweek and #LongfieldGardens. Thanks for participating!
Thank you Kath! I have posted several. I hope you like them. I truly have enjoyed making them. I don’t usually take the time to do it even though I certainly grow enough flowers. I mostly enjoy photographing them. In my opinion, they turned out beautifully. I hope you have enjoyed them too!
