The halls are decked, the weather is turning colder and it’s that time of the year when we all scramble for holiday gifts for everyone on our list. In addition to all the other preparations leading up to the holidays, gifting can be stressful if you let it! Fortunately, I found a way to give a thoughtful, unique and beautiful gift without the stress. This gift is so simple that my daughter does it all!

Because of my aversion to shopping centers, I do my shopping online. She and I love gifting amaryllis bulbs during the holidays because the flowers are so pretty and they bloom for weeks!

To make this simple gift, you only need 4 items (all of which you can order online).

  • 1 amaryllis bulb (I used Amaryllis Apple Blossom)
  • 1 piece of burlap
  • 1 piece of ribbon
  • 1 custom tag (I used a chalkboard clothespin clip)

She is so proud of her gift! In years past, the teachers have planted them in the classroom so that the students can watch it grow and bloom. Amaryllis bulbs also make great gifts for friends and neighbors. No green thumb required!
