Snow Over Spring Flowers
This week many of the northern Midwest and Eastern states were surprised with more snow after enjoying a week of spring weather. The first thing that crossed my mind when I stepped out and saw my landscape covered in snow was “Oh, this is just cruel.” That thought quickly passed when I walked outside to see my lovely spring blooming flowers covered in snow. I had to snap a few photos because it was quite pretty (see above)!
Many of you may be wondering if your tulips, daffodils, crocus and other spring blooming bulbs will be ok after sitting under that cold white stuff. The answer is simply, yes. Early spring blooming bulbs are cold and snow tolerant and will continue to bloom on after the snow has melted. Let’s think spring and more importantly…no more snow!
